Blueberry's Rubber Band Ball

We have been collecting rubber bands for years. They have come from all sorts of places and are all different colours. However, sometime in December every rubber band we found was blue...very strange. And now we know why, we had begun to create Blueberry's Rubber Band Ball. It is has grown as he has grown and will continue to in the years to come. It's definitely larger than a Blueberry now. Maybe he will think that his Grandparents are a little odd...but in a fun way.

Choosing a name

Who knew choosing a name for blueberry would be such a challenge!
The middle name will be his Granda's name, Gordon and his last name will be Bell, his Papa's name.
For the past 8 1/2 months we've been trying to decide on a first name.
But what could the nicknames be? Would it sound funny with the last name? Do the initials spell anything? What are the meanings of the names? Phew!
These are some of the names we BOTH like:
Liam
Calum
James
Willem
Charlie
Samuel
Elliot
Gam pointed out that the nickname for Calum is Cal so Cal Bell... I don't think so. See what I mean?
What do you think? Post a comment and let us know.

Blueberry's Weekend at Changes

For the past 8 years I have worked at the most incredible consignment store on the planet "Changes" owned by Rhonda Davis.
On the last weekend I worked, before beginning maternity leave, Rhonda and the Changes Chicks put on a 3 day event for me and Blueberry.
This birthday cake went very fast!
One of our favorite clients, Nancy, brought this blueberry cheesecake. Thank you Nancy!

Rhonda set up a silent auction to raise money for the baby registry. Our clients and local jewellery artists donated the prizes and our loving supporters bid generously on them. Thank you all so much for your contributions.

Why Blueberry?

The other day it suddenly dawned on us that we have not explained the origin of the name Blueberry to all the wonderful readers of this blog. When I found out that I was pregnant, at the very beginning of December, I began to read a book called "What to expect when you are expecting". When I was visiting my parents for Christmas I was reading all about the week I was in and it said "right now your baby is the size of a blueberry" I closed the book and smiled. A blueberry, how perfect. The nickname was born.
